Facts about RMS

Richmond Middle School is a fifth through eighth grade middle school that houses 620 students. RMS is committed to meeting the unique needs of young adolescents, and works hard to implement a middle school philosophy and approach to learning.  This year, RMS is implementing a school wide theme: "R.M.S.....The Journey Continues.!" This theme will be used to guide teams and learning, and be incorporated into activities. Teaming is in place in all grades at RMS, and this is a practice to help support students academically, socially, physically, and emotionally.

The mission of Richmond Middle School is to promote a high level of academic achievement and self-sufficiency, while demonstrating proficiency in state and national standards.  We are committed to supporting all members of our learning community to enable them to meet high standards and expectations.  We will provide a comprehensive system of support through the use of strategies and interventions to meet the unique needs of young adolescents.
