The Scholastic Book Fair opens tomorrow. The fair will be in Room 202 shop early for Christmas and give the gift of reading. The book fair will be open during conferences ending on Thursday, November 12th.
Builder Club Members will not be meeting this Friday. Members are reminded to give your permission slips to Mrs. Hager, Mrs. Plagens or Mrs. McKiernan as soon as possible.
Christmas Wreaths are now on sale. Builders Club members are taking orders now. See any Builders Club member or Mrs. Hager, Mrs. Plagens or Mrs. McKiernan to place an order. There are two sizes available; medium sell for $15 and large for $18. Wreaths will be delivered before Thanksgiving. Builders Club is appreciative of your support.
Tomorrow is the end of the first marking period and will be a half day for students.
SPORTS
Tryouts for 7th & 8th Grade Boys’ Basketball will start on Monday, November 9th. Tryouts will be held in the middle school gym with 7th grade tryouts from 3 – 5 pm and 8th grade from 5 – 7 pm. All athletes must have physical on file before tryouts begin. See Coach Barnes with any further questions.
The Richmond Community Schools Men’s basketball program is once again offering an Intramural Basketball Program for boys in grade 4, 5, and 6. The program will start on Saturday, November 7th from 9 – 11 am in the high school gym. Cost is $45.00. Flyers are available in the office.
Registration for Richmond Jr. Devil Wrestling for students is grade 4 – 8 will take place on Monday, November 2, Tuesday, November 3, Wednesday, November 4th and Thursday, November 5th. In the Richmond High School Library from 6 – 9 pm. Cost is $35.00 and includes 20 practices; team t-shirt, medals and a pizza party. If you need to register on a day other than the ones listed, contact Coach Day at 586-727-7552 ext. 2308 or bday@richmond.k12.mi.us.
The 2009 Athletic Booster Holiday Clothing Sale is under way!! Deadline to place an order is Friday, November 20th. Order forms are available in the office.

PARENTS
Next week Wednesday, November 11, will be a full day of school with Parent Teacher Conferences held from 4:00 – 7:00 pm. Thursday, November 12 is a half day of classes with PTC held at 12:00 – 2:00 pm & 5:00 – 8:00 pm. The 5th & 6th grade teachers will be meeting in their classrooms and the 7th & 8th grade teachers will be in the middle school library. No school on Friday, November13.

Our Veterans’ Day Celebration will be on Wednesday, November 11, 2009 from 8:30 am – 9:30ish am. The celebration will take place in the middle school media center. Coffee and cookies provided. All veterans are welcome. Please join us!
