Friday, March 12th PAWS the Tiger’s Mascot will be here!  The 12th will be Detroit Tigers Day, wear your tiger gear.  We will be having a short assembly with PAWS to celebrate March is Reading Month. 

March 12th we will be having a middle school carnival the night. The carnival will kick off the Scholastic Book Fair.  The carnival will be from 6-8 pm in the middle school gymnasium.  There will be several fun games with chances to win prizes at the carnival.  Book Fair will take place starting Monday, March 15 through Friday, March 19th.

There will be a yearbook meeting Friday after school for members.

This Sunday, March 14th, is the day we all spring forward! Remember to set your clocks ahead one hour.

 

Sports 

Good Luck to the middle school wrestlers on Thursday at Imlay City and also to the 7th & 8th grade volleyball teams at home versus Imlay City.  All matches will start at 4:30 pm.

Attention All Horse Riders in 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th grades: The Richmond Junior Equestrian Team is signing up new members. There will be a meeting on Thursday, March 11, 2010 after school until 4:00 pm in the middle school library. All riding disciplines are welcome!!

The annual “Nothin’ But Net” Free Throw Contest for students in grades 5 – 8 will be held at the AUD on Main Street on Tuesday, March 16 at 3:00 pm. There is an informational flyer that includes the permission slip in the office. Stop by and pick up one of the orange sheets for all the details!!

There is a flyer in the office regarding the Thumb Area Football League Signups - For Grades 2nd-3rd (140 lbs. Max), 4th-5th (170 lbs. Max), 6th-7th (Over 200 lbs to play Offensive Line)  Registration:    Sat., March 27th, & Sat., April 17th  10:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Football Cost = $155, Cheerleading Cost = $125 What to Bring to Registration: 1) Participating child (for sizing), 2) report card, 3) health insurance information/insurance card, 4) physician & dentist names and phone numbers, and 5) date of last tetanus shot.  Registration Location: Steel City Gym, 37570 31 Mile Rd.
