Students

Have a Heart?  Give a Can and join the Key Club in helping raise a goal of 1500 cans for the Richmond Food Pantry.  Bring in a canned food to the Media Center by Feb.12!

There will be an important Key Club meeting in Mr. Murf’s room on Wednesday at 7:15 a.m. or 2:50 p.m.

Auditions for the spring play, Fools, will be February 22ne and 23rd after school in the auditorium.  They will consist of cold readings, but students may prepare a monologue if they wish.  See Mr. Applegate for further details.

Techies:  there will be a meeting before school on Wednesday.  If you can’t attend in the morning come after school.

Seniors:  if you have applied to a college that has asked for a 7th semester transcript please see Mrs. Weidner.

Specs Howard School of Media Arts will have a representative here on Feb. 22nd at 10:00 a.m.  If you are interested please sign up with Mrs. Weidner.

Attention Freshmen:  The freshman meeting today has been cancelled.

Congratulations to Ann Marie Ede, Alexa Gates, Kurt Fraser, and Matt Van Ham for great performances at District Solo and Ensemble on Saturday.  Alexa received a Division 1 for her clarinet solo and Matt and Kurt each received Division 2s on their solos.  Great job musicians!

SLUSH for your Crush is Back!! Buy a slush for your crush sometime this week during lunch or in the Devils Den and a slush will be delivered to your crush on Thursday.

The Miss Richmond Pageant Committee will be holding informational meetings on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at 3:00 and 6:00 in the media center.  If you are female, 17 to 21 years old, at least a junior in high school and live in the Richmond School District, you are invited to attend either meeting.  Come out and be a representative of your city.

Blackboard:  Daily assignments are posted on Blackboard.  If your student is absent from school or questioning an assignment, encourage them to utilize this valuable resource from home.  Reminder: Usernames are ric(last 2 digits of year of graduation)(first initial of first name)(last name).  Blackboard may be reached from the High School page of www.richmond.k12.mi.us

Monday, February 15th:  There will be another lunch and dinner sponsored by Chap’s Restaurant in Richmond.  Chap’s will donate a portion of the day’s sales to the wrestling team.

Sunday, February 21st:  The Richmond wrestling parents are hosting a second Euchre Party in the high school cafeteria.  Advanced ticket sales are $10 and tickests at the door are $15.  Pop and snacks are included.  Please contact Jeanne Treend at 727-2843 for more information.

Need money for college?  SC4 is hosting College Goal Sunday, Feb 8 from 2-4pm in Room 150 of the M-Tec Building.  The purpose of the event is to assist students in completing their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) forms.

 

  • Attention all parents of Richmond Seniors,

    The date for the Senior All Night Euchre Party has changed. We will not be hosting the Euchre party on March 6, but we have a new date which will be April 17. Anyone interested in helping please contact Rochelle at ecomet5178@yahoo.com, or Janie at rjschroeder@comcast.net. We are still in need of baskets and items to put in the baskets. You can send in your donation to the office, address it "Project Graduation." We need candy, candles, car care items, ice cream sundae items, movie night items, and anything else you would like to donate. Please let your family and friends know about the fundraiser the cost will be $15.00 if you reserve your spot and $20.00 at the door. Doors open at 6:00 p.m. at the K of C. Notice to all students if you are interested in still attending we need confirmation by February 10. Please contact us at the above e-mails so that we can hold your spot.
  • We need all artistic talent to draw a picture for the senior all night party T-shirt. You can pick any thing you wish to draw and we may pick it as our theme for the all night party. Winner gets a gift card to Ted's Coney Island.
