Dr. Patrick Bird has served as our District Superintendent since May 1999. Dr. Bird earned his B.A. in Communications & Employment Relations from Michigan State University, followed by a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from Iowa State University. Outside the district, Dr. Bird supports the community as a member of the Richmond Rotary and Richmond Kiwanis Clubs. He is currently serving as chairperson for the Administrative Council at the First United Methodist Church of Richmond. Dr. Bird also teaches graduate level courses in Educational Administration at Saginaw Valley State University. Dr. Bird is married to his wife Lucila and they have two children. Dr. Bird's interests include coaching baseball, cycling and studying leadership development. | |

Chuck has served as our district Director of Business & Management Services since July 2006. Since 1979 he has held various positions in the university and public school arenas; the last nine years in the public school business and finance field. Chuck received his B.S. Social Science-Labor Relations from Michigan State University and his Master of Management degree from Aquinas College. He has also attained Chief Financial Officer certification from the Michigan School Business Officials organization. | |

Dr. Sharon Hiller is our Curriculum Director at Richmond Community Schools. Dr. Hiller joined us in July 2002. Previous to her coming, she served as Elementary Principal in Anchor Bay School District for 9 years. Before becoming an administrator, she taught elementary music, Kindergarten, 1st grade, 2nd grade, 3rd grade, 4th grade, and several 3rd-4th grade split classes in Anchor Bay for a total of 20 years. Dr. Hiller earned her B.S. degree from Western Michigan University with a major in Elementary Music and a minor in Elementary Education. From there she studied at Wayne State University, earning her Masters in Educational Leadership, her Specialist in General Administration and Supervision, and finally her Education Doctorate in General Administration and Supervision with a Curriculum Cognate. Sharon enjoys singing, reading, writing, creating new things, helping others, and spending time with family and friends. She is an active member in the Kiwanis Club of Richmond and sponsors K-Kids, an elementary service club. She sings and plays keyboard in a praise band called "Good Company." Sharon and her husband, John, live in Richmond. They have two married children and three grandchildren that make them smile. | |
